My journey across countries and cultures has enriched my understanding of resilience, connection, and self-discovery. When I first started therapy, I struggled with low confidence. However, during my sessions, I found comfort and relief. One of the most impactful aspects of therapy was how it shifted my perspective on the world. I started to see things differently, realizing that my confidence could grow and that no matter the situation, there is always a way out. Therapy has significantly improved my overall well-being and relationships, as I've learned to approach life with a fresh mindset and a deeper understanding of myself. The most valuable takeaway for me was the realization that I had been holding on to my past, worrying about things that didn't require my energy.
I felt incredibly lonely and often found myself wanting to cry without knowing why. However, as I continued with therapy, I always left the sessions feeling calm, hopeful, and energized. One thing that really stood out to me was how we discussed issues openly, and the relaxing nature of the sessions helped me process everything better. Through therapy, my perspective on life has shifted—I am now more active, focused on my goals, and able to let go of negative and bothersome thoughts. I've noticed significant improvements in my overall well-being; I feel more energetic and motivated to do better for myself, understanding that this is my life and I am in control of it.
At Emotion Canvas, each therapy session offers a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Depending on your goals and the therapeutic approach used, sessions may involve talking through current difficulties or past experiences, identifying patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, and developing coping strategies along with emotional regulation tools. Together, we may also work on setting personal or relational goals to support your growth. Sessions typically last between 45 and 60 minutes and are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
At Emotion Canvas, the first session is usually an initial consultation, also known as an intake session. During this time, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, review your personal and mental health history, and begin to define your goals and expectations for the therapeutic process. We’ll also go over confidentiality and establish clear boundaries to ensure a safe and respectful space. This session is an opportunity for both you and the therapist to assess whether the fit feels right and to outline the next steps.
You can book a session through our (Link) or by email, or via phone. To reschedule or cancel an appointment, we kindly request at least 24–48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within this window may incur a fee in line with our policy. For urgent changes or last-minute updates, please reach out to your therapist directly.
Each individual therapy session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the nature of the session and the therapeutic plan agreed upon. This duration helps maintain structure, allows for emotional processing, and ensures consistency across sessions.
The duration of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (a few months) focused on specific goals, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper exploration and personal growth. You and your therapist will regularly review progress and goals to decide what works best for you.
We understand that therapy is an important investment in your well-being, and we’re committed to making it as accessible as possible. A limited number of pro bono or sliding scale slots may be available based on financial need and therapist availability.
If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll do our best to explore options with you, which may include lower-fee sessions, referrals to affordable services, or connecting you with community-based support organizations.
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please note that therapy is not a substitute for emergency care. It’s important to reach out to emergency services or a crisis support organization for immediate help.

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. What you share in sessions stays private, with a few important exceptions required by law—such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse or court orders. Your therapist will explain these limits during the first session so you feel informed and safe.
